Maya's birthday

Maya turned three on the 18th January. We kind of had a weekend -Tuesday celebration going.
The reaction as Ciro brought the pressies in.

The birthday girl.

Opening her Dora roundabout

Dylan also got a gift to celebrate his sister's birthday...

...and thanked her for it with a kiss!

Maya with her baby doll...she fell in love with this the moment she saw it. She later went to buy clothes etc for it....those pics will follow in part two (not off camera yet:)

Birthday cake.

Huff and puff....

Help from D..

And it is out!!!

Now for more kisses...she pulls faces like this and then says "more"

Yummy!!!

Early Jan

Out and about in the park...Maya was on the swing with Ciro so Dylan and i were messing about with the camera

The kids made their red envelope art...Maya apparently cut hers in half so her teacher (quick thinking) told her that is was small because she is a mei mei -little sister and smaller than Dylan:))

Early winter morning reading

Maya decided that this is what she was going to wear on this freezing Sunday...the summer hat with decorations and a summer skirt....so mommy added all the winter stuff on top!

"Dora the explorer" took her binoculars with to find the dinosaur!

Playing on the double helix (which has a do not touch sign on it but half of Taichung plays on it) I asked them to pose..D was into it but Maya was protesting!

Post Christmas and New Year

Already 2011 and in a few short weeks little Maya will be turning three!!!! We have had a great coupe of weeks since the last post.
Pics from after Christmas...lots of playing.

Maya loves painting, drawing and anything creative....like her dad:)

More swinging at the park.

I usually have a late class on a Friday of older students. The boss decided to cancel and instead take the kids (those who wanted) and staff to Sun Moon Lake for New Year's eve. We stayed at the youth center which has log cabins...beautiful place. We could catch a glimpse of the fireworks from the place( a big thing this year as Taiwan turned 100 years old). The others walked down to the lake to see the whole thing up close ...our two little ones were way too tired and passed out at 11:00. A beautiful way to start the year waking up with pine trees around and lovely crisp air.

Messing about in the room before everyone else got there.....it was 8 degrees outside.

In the morning Dylan climbed in with daddy to watch some telly.

Just love this one ..

Exploring in the morning.

Umm....no whales about:))

This was our room. Each cabin divided into three rooms.

On Saturday we took a boat ride..this is Dylan doing his "Ahoy"

Maya insisted on sitting in the middle. The grannies behind her spent most of the "sightseeing trip" chatting to and looking at her:)

Some general pics from around the lake...

Back on the boat after a stop to get some mushroom flavoured tea eggs.

Up the tree at the peacock garden.

Messing about back in Taichung.
