Christmas 2008!!!

We had a great Christmas ..eventful..too. As we had to work over this time...we followed a bit of a different format. Christmas eve we had some Christmas cake (yay the dairy free version of my Gran's cake worked!!) Dylan and Maya got to each open a present from us and they also got one from school!

Maya was so cute sticking her finger in the hole i had opened slightly..very excited too.

The Christmas morning was a normal morning because Ciro had to go to work. I was not working in the evening so we decided to contact Santa and ask him to make an afternoon delivery. It was supposed to be a normal morning that is until i stepped on to the balcony to get the tablecloth off the line and "click" behind me...Dylan had closed and locked the door. Now this would not have been a problem as he would have opened it for me again but because the balcony is so high up and a real hazard we have a childproof doorknob on the inside of the door...he could not open it!! So there i am on the 15th floor...stuck outside. Maya crying inside and Dylan first playing and then after realizing he could not open it ...growing more and more concerned....long story short..neighbours heard/saw me...called locksmith...our door has two locks they couldn't break in to the second lock..Dylan would not open the front door for them. Ciro was a half hour away.... eventually they lowered a hammer down to me so i could smash the glass pane and open the door...such fun on Christmas morning!!!No one was hurt...all okay! !!! Not something i ever want to repeat!!

We had to go to work in the afternoon and then on the way home after picking up the kids (which i never get to do so they were pretty happy to see me there)Picked up the Turkey and it was Christmas time. When we walked in Dylan went straight to the tree...super excited!!
