May in a nutshell

May has come and gone...it has been a busy month. Thankfully the weather has been conducive to lots of outside time , especially with the rainy/typhoon season starting soon. The kids are both doing great. Both are budding painters...i must try and scan in some of the paintings to put them up. For now here are some pics from the month.

On the outskirts of Taichung there is a little lane that leads to a group of traditional old houses. The residents have painted their houses and it has become a bit of a tourist spot...lots of photo taking. Houses , road etc all painted.

Rare pic of us all ..but unfortunately looking right into the sun.

Maya posing in her Elmo gear.

At Metropolitan park.

Maya informed me.."I doodoo(sleep) with Manny" (Handy Manny from Disney channel), climbed on the couch and tucked herself and Manny in.

"I Kiss Manny...good night Manny doodoo okay"

We went looking for the Children's culture center and did not find it but got directed to what we initially thought was it. Not the right place, but a great park!!!

Nothing like a "pop pop" as Maya (mini Minnie Mouse) calls them.

Look a puddle Dylan...

Unfortunately the camera battery went dead..they spent ages playing in the puddle!!

Thanks to Karen who discovered the children's culture center (Beitun). We finally made it there and it was loads of fun even though the weather turned and we couldn't do the outside part..we will have to go back for another visit. Dylan loved the ride outside but the controls were quiet erratic so Ciro had to stay nearby.

Plato playing

Dylan and Maya come to school for about two hours on Mon, Wed and Fri to play with the kids etc.... They are busy doing the kindergarten grad pics and so they had the outfits out. Of course our two got dressed and had a photo shoot too:))

Maya with flowers and all.

The pose!

Both of them dealing with the strange hats:)

Maya's version of the "V" sign looks like a mix between that and the star trek salute:))
