Catch up time

I am playing catch up on the blog. So much happened in 2015 and I did not seem to get around to noting it all down. I am now teaching and we are on half term so I can spend some time updating and sorting things out. The photos are from various things in the past year. I will caption the different days.

We went on a tour of the solent and took in a couple of the castles in the area. This was at Porchester. We have been there before but it is a favourite.

We then stopped at Capshot castle which is a rotunda. It was used in tudor times as well as in the world wars. Dylan was obviously feeling the airplane energy as he started running around acting as an airplane.

We then drove round to Hurst castle which is the closest point to the Isle of Wight. Below is a picture looking out at the needles. there was an eerie quiet on the water and a mist rolled in as we walked the mile and a half to the castle (along a shingle spit)

We always love Weald and Downland activities. The vintage steam fair always has interesting machines and they even had a steam carousel.

From one steam event to another. The vintage steam fair was in town with loads of steam powered rides.

Both kids got bicycles this summer and have bene learning to ride. Look ...no hands :)
Uncle Ian was visiting and we set him to work fixing a puncture.

Rugby world cup watching!!

We took Ian to Bosham for an ice cream.

Also in our summer holiday we took a trip to London to see the sights and be the tourists. We went to Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly circus, Trafalgar Square, Science Museum and Big Ben

In September my sister Grace graduated as a Paramedic and invited me to her graduation. Very special day.

I will catch up with photos from Christmas in the next post. Below are photos from our trip during February half term to visit the Cotswolds. We stopped at Stonehenge on the way too. Very beautiful part of the countryside. It was quite chilly but absolutely magical couple of days.

The church in Bath. We will definitely go back to Bath to see more of the city.

In Bourton on the water. I visited the model village when I was five years old so it was quite special taking my kids there.

Dylan loved this street 'knight' in Stratford. Look at the grin when he asked him to stand with him on the podium.

The nutty three having ice creams and slushes in the bitter cold :)

The Roman Villa at Chedworth was amazing. We took the scenic route to get there too which was amazing!
