Just a very quick update .. Dylan had a haircut(a real one) It is getting hot here and he sweats so easily his hair was permanently wet so we decided it was time!! Ciro cut it with the machine and he was pretty cooperative.
and here is the result...
Other news..he has a booster seat in the car now , was getting too big for the other one..
and as for Maya...she is super cute. She weighs 6kg now and is 59cm tall. She found her hands and loves playing with them. She also loves smiling and is making more sounds.
Wednesday night we ended up in the ER again with Dylan. We went to the hospital that is pretty close to our house and met a really great doctor. Dylan had started wheezing in the early evening and then his breathing became quiet rapid. When the doc listened to his chest he confirmed what we suspected that he was having an asthma attack. They did blood work and it is related to an allergy. So next week we are going to get tests done to see exactly what he is allergic to. We had a quiet long weekend just resting and recovering. Today though he was much better and we headed to the art museum...it is a very hot day!!! D had loads of fun and Maya was also awake for most of the time in the museum..checking it all out
Dylan loves his Thomas the tank puzzles. Kept him calm while recuperating.
It has suddenly got chilly and wet here the last few days and expected to be up in the thirties on the weekend..hmm..global warming! Pics of Maya from today. She is doing great..super cute!!
...and Dylan in the park the othe day picking up a girlfriend on the slide...he was having loads of fun playing with the girl in gray. Maya watches on from the stroller. The model pose...
Yesterday we went out to the Taiwan Folk Village close to Huatan.. When I was first here it opened and was a combination of an amusement park and a folk village introducing a person to the way life used to be in Taiwan.Ciro and I went out there not long after we got here and it was pretty delapidated. We thought we would go and see if they had done anything new with it. Well fans of Gibli's "Spirited away" would feel as though they were transported into the movie. It is even more run down now...although there was still a bus tour there (they did not look that happy about it) There was also a film crew there using the old authentic houses for a set. Apparently there is a show on at the moment too with performances twice a day so there are still a few stores open.. oh and let us not forget the parking lot which has been converted into a racetrack for screeching joy riders...but for the most part it is completely run down...great place to take pictures though and Dylan had a great time running around the place. And Maya well she slept... we were going to stop by Karen and Hogie's to see new baby Jevin...it turned out to be a real quick stop..D fell asleep in the car after all the running...what a cute little guy Jevin is with the most gorgeous hair!!! Somehow i didn't take a pic:((
The broken down little kiosk for buying tickets(yes you still have to buy a ticket)..but there is still something going on here...a magic show of sorts..no amount of magic is going to fix this place.
The race track in the parking lot.
The grand entrance.
Water buffalo??? extras on the film set.
Maya slept through everything.. A fish got so excited about being fed it nearly jumped right out of the pond and splashed Dylan.
The old log ride..Ciro went on that last time we were there...at that time it was the only ride still working.
Dylan loves collecting pebbles..in fact they usually end up in my bag..we manage to dump this one before that happened.
D really loved this stone horse. And here are some of the young lady this morning. The pink teddy is the same one from pics in the hospital
