Last days of the year of the pig

It is Chinese New Year's Eve tomorrow, it has been really cold and miserable this year; although i feel like it is always cold round Chinese New Year. Since the stint in the hospital we have been staying in mostly and staying warm. Dylan is doing much better although today he has a hoarse voice!! He has warmed up to his sister a little and said "Maya" the other day. This morning we were sitting in bed and he was running around..he ran past us and came back, leant over her and gave her a big smile. He gets really upset when she cries..which thankfully is not a lot..only really when she poops!
Maya is doing great..a little bit if a snotty nose..as we all have at the moment..hoping it clears up okay. She is very alert when she is awake and sleeps soundly when she is asleep. Such a joy!! Below is a clip I took this afternoon of her on the playmat.

And then...

After having a great day last Saturday we were sent into another spin when Dylan got sick on Sunday. We took him to the doc with a bit of a cough and she sent him to hospital for observation because of the wheezing in his chest... he ended up being there until Wednesday morning. Ciro stayed with him and Maya and i were home... felt like forever..and the worst timing ever!!! He went back for a check today and was given the all clear..yay!! Still a bit of a cough but no wheezing. They have warned us about asthma attacks and the triggers that might set him off. Although this was from a cold that he got (probably from visiting me in the hospital!!)

Maya is doing great. she is a very good little baby..so quiet! She is alert and likes to look around but (thankfully) when she is sleeping not much wakes her. She weighed 3.5kg's yesterday. We are now looking forward to a quiet weekend with no more drama!!

Home at last

We are finally home!!! After a week in the hospital it felt so good to get home yesterday. Maya presented with Jaundice on Tuesday and they put her under lights to get her count down..they are super pedantic about jaundice here. Finally on friday they discharged us. Dylan has been great so far..thankfully Maya does not seem to bothered by noise.:)) She is super sweet and such a good baby...more later....some pics for now!

Update...

Here are some more pictures of our little angel...Heather is recovering at an amazing rate, on the 19th (day after) she was standing and walking about...Dylan has been great, even came over to me when I was holding Maya and checked her out....He is just super!...We are all doing well, just very tired... :)

Maya is born and a whole new chapter begins...

Here are some pictures from the 18th for our family and friends. Heather was amazing during the c-section, she has always been so brave and 'deep down' strong...She was amazing! Maya is beautiful! Dylan's been cautious but loving...Here is Maya pretty much as it happened..(Heather asked me not to include the more gory pics...I wouldn't anyways... :))
