Typhoon day

It is official...Maya is crawling....having trouble uploading so.....video at the link below.

Maya crawling

Last week we were in the book store and Dylan saw these figurines...Wall-E is probably his favourite movie ever. He loved it so when he saw a Wall-E and Eve...that was it!! They are even allowed to play with his precious play-doh:))

My gorgeous hubby of seven years!!

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday...after the typhoon died down we went for a meal...Maya was so excited to get her own balloon.

Saturday was the last day for swimming...the pool closes on 30th :((We all love swimming...It is supposed to be really heading into autumn now.

Maya wants to be wherever Dylan is and doing whatever Dylan is doing...in the pics this was okay and tolerated...but on Saturday morning they had their first fight...Maya was pressing the buttons on the tv...it was not even on anything Dylan likes...he took offense and shouted at her..she shouted back a few time and then they both ended up in tears..i was at work so Ciro had to separate them and give them both time to calm down after a while it was all okay...:)

So we were hit by Typhoon Jangmi this past weekend. It was a super typhoon, really strong. When we had our air conditioners put in they filled in the rest of the window space with polystyrene board and silicone. Well.... we were sitting in the living room on Sunday afternoon listening to the wind when all of a sudden there was a really loud THWACK sound...we ran to the room to see a gaping hole where the board had been...now most places were closing up as it had been called a typhoon day..Ciro ran to see what was open..he found the bookstore still open...got some plastic board and he managed to fix it in the window...with the wind trying to suck it out as he was doing it....photos below:)

Trees were blown to bits.

These flower pots weigh a ton...i was surprised to see them blown over...there were also loads of sign boards either blown over or completely buckled.

Whaa! Great pics of typhoon!

Even greater pics of kids! I can't believe how much Maya continues to look like Dylan as she gets bigger - those eyes! - that knowing cockeyed smile (in swim cap). What beautiful little kids!
